SUMMARY:Annual Schoodic Scramble
DESCRIPTION:The twenty-third annual Schoodic Scramble charity golf event will be held on Saturday\, September 11\, 2021at the Grindstone Neck Golf Course in Winter Harbor. Participants will enjoy 18 holes of golf\, continental breakfast\, lobster stew\, ice cream sundaes\, wine\, cheese\, a tournament hat\, hole-in-one opportunity\, as well as prizes for men’s\, ladies’\, and couples flights. \nCommunity members are invited to attend and participate in the silent auction at the Scramble and enjoy some tasty lobster stew created and donated by D.C. Air & Seafood\, all while taking in breathtaking ocean views. \nProceeds from the Schoodic Scramble benefit the Eleanor Widener Dixon Memorial Clinic in Gouldsboro\, a primary care practice of Northern Light Maine Coast Hospital. DESCRIPTION:The 2021 Schoodic Arts Festival\, sponsored by Schoodic Arts for All\, runs from Aug. 2-15 at various locations throughout the Schoodic Peninsula. Performances\, workshops\, exhibits\, and community groups for all ages. \nDue to anticipated distancing requirements\, the number of spaces available in workshops will be limited. All workshops will adhere to gathering and distancing requirements at the time of the workshop. Locations are subject to change\, depending on current CDC guidelines. Face coverings will be required.

SUMMARY:Eastport ArtWalk Passport Weekend
DESCRIPTION:The Eastport ArtWalk Passport weekends continue to celebrate the arts the Way Downeast way. A full schedule of events and rain updates is found on Facebook. \nThe July ArtWalk Passport weekend opens downtown Eastport on Friday\, July 23rd with a slate of events sponsored by the Downeast Rainbow Alliance\, including an Art Installation Opening at the North Church from 5-9 p.m. and a Pride Dance Party in the Sutherland Amphitheater featuring crowd favorite “Beach Trash” from 6-8 p.m \nThe all-ages\, art-focused fun continues all day on Saturday in Eastport with gallery visits\, artist talks\, interactive art activities\, Celtic music with Moose Island House Players and bagpiper Kara McCrimmon at 2 p.m.\, the Stage East StorySlam at 4 p.m.\, and at dusk\, Moonlight movies present “Night at the Museum”. \nAdults and kids get their “passports” stamped at participating galleries or art activities to be eligible to win prizes following the StorySlam. The Passport weekend continues in Lubec on Sunday\, July 25th as visitors are encouraged to take the 12 noon Ferry from Eastport to Lubec\, then head to Stockford Park on South Water St. for the LAMPS summer concert series.
