Brooklin is located on the southeast tip of the Blue Hill Peninsula between Blue Hill Bay and Eggemoggin Reach. It is a beautiful, quiet village that boasts it is "the boat-building capital of the world." Author E.B. White and his wife Katharine made it their home. Brooklin is the home of many fine boat builders, lobstermen, and the headquarters of WoodenBoat Magazine. People come from around the world to attend boat building and sailing classes at the WoodenBoat School. Brooklin is, quite simply, a very special place.
