Gallery on the Green

See the works of over 50 of DownEast Maine’s most recognized artists, including winners of top awards and national competitions, in the annual Gallery on the Green outdoor art show on the last weekend of July and the second weekend of August in downtown Southwest Harbor. On display and for sale are a wide variety of acrylics, oils, watercolors, pastels, etchings, woodcuts and mixed two-dimensional media. Artistic styles range from ultra realism to plein air expressionism, impressionism and abstraction. Each juried show is limited to 35 participants, so the artists will vary for each show. Patrons will not only enjoy the wonderful art and outdoor gallery venue, but the opportunity to meet and talk with the individual artists. Gallery on the Green is organized and supported by the Coastal Fine Arts Alliance of Maine.
