Garlic Festival

The annual Garlic Festival celebrates the harvesting of the island’s garlic crop. Held annually in mid-September at Smugglers Den Campground in Southwest Harbor, the festival is a lively gathering of local restaurants and their special food dishes, musicians and other fun entertainment, beer brewers, and garlic growers. This growing event serves as an important fundraising event for local nonprofit concerns.
