Trolley Tours

Hop aboard a comfortable tour bus or old time trolley for a grand tour of the must-see sights of Acadia National Park. Enjoy the incredible scenery while learning about the history, homes, and famous names; the geology, the ocean, the mountains; the bays, lakes and ponds; and the marine, plant and animal life of this fascinating island. See everything from the beautiful mansions of Bar Harbor and the crashing waves of Thunder Hole to the magnificent summit of Cadillac Mountain, the sublime scenery of Jordan Pond House, and the lovely Wild Gardens of Acadia at Sieur du Monts Spring. Or take a horse-drawn carriage tour of the park’s world famous carriage roads while visiting the Rockefeller Bridges, Day Mountain, and Jordan Pond House.

Oli’s Trolley, based in Bar Harbor, provides park tours narrated by fun and knowledgeable conductors. One-hour tours are offered from four times daily from June through October, while two-hour tours operate twice-daily from May to October. Ask about additional tours in high summer, including the popular sunset tour.

Acadia National Park Tours has been providing bus tours of Acadia since 1955. The service makes one trip daily from early to late May, then two trips daily from Memorial Day weekend through the end of October. Tours are 2 1/2 to 3 hour tours in length.

Three to four stops are included on trips with Oli’s Trolley and Acadia National Park Tours.

Carriages of Acadia, based at Wildwoods Stables near Jordan Pond, operates daily from Memorial Day to October and offers a number of one and two-hour horse-drawn carriage sightseeing tours along the park’s amazing carriage road system. Longer excursions through the park are offered, and private carriage charters for your family or group can also be arranged.

Oli’s Trolley, Acadia National Park Tours, and Carriages of Acadia are authorized Acadia National Park concessioners. Advance reservations are highly recommended.
