DART is the official tourism promotional organization for Hancock and Washington counties and operates this website through funding from the Maine Office of Tourism (MOT), a government agency for Maine. State and local government agencies may have their privacy statements posted on their sites, which take precedence over this policy. This site contains links to other sites. Please be aware that neither DART nor MOT is not responsible for the privacy practices of other such sites. We encourage our visitors to be aware when they leave our site, read the privacy policies of individual sites, and be cautious about providing personally identifiable information without a clear understanding of how the information will be used.

- INTERNAL USE – At DART’s discretion, DART may use the information for aggregate analysis beyond fulfilling the transaction for which the information was supplied. At DART’s discretion, information may be shared from time to time within the Maine Office of Tourism for DART purposes.
- CONTRACTORS – At DART’s discretion, information may be supplied to DART contractors for DART purposes.
- MAINE TOURISM ENTITIES – Name, Physical mailing addresses (Street or PO Box, City, State, Postal Code, and Country) and survey data such as season of interest, the month of interest, activities of interest, and source of the request, entered by visitors into this web site may be provided to DART’s tourism-related partners for follow-up mailing of vacation planning information only. A DART representative may contact you as part of DARTs ongoing customer service evaluation; or when you have expressed an interest in a particular service offered by DART. A DART representative may also contact you via email with announcements regarding new features on this website, marketing surveys, or special offers that match your interests. All DART E-messages offer an address to opt-out of any further mailings. DART intends that the information provided through this process will be utilized by the receiving entities described above for purposes designed to promote DownEast & Acadia as a travel destination. DART retains the right to cease sending information through this process to any and all of the receiving entities described in the section above at any time, whether for cause or convenience.
